Secret Machine

O Secret Machine apareceu à uns meses com uma enorme campanha de marketing, que passou também muito por uma campanha negativa que punha um dos cineastas Sonny Miller, a protestar contra o filme.

A campanha foi de tal maneira bem feita que houve muitos meios de comunicação social que acreditaram neste protesto de Sonny. O cineasta pretendia que as suas imagens não fosse usadas num filme, que defendia o uso de máquinas para substituir as imagens filmadas, por imagens directamente retiradas da cabeça de surfistas.

O filme acabou por sair. No final Sonny fazia chacota do caso e o filme foi um sucesso.

As imagens são de uma enorme qualidade, as ondas surpreendentes, e algo diferentes dos filmes habituais feitos por marcas de surf. A indonésia é inevitável, mas os irmãos Hobgood, principalmente, fazem surf em ondas que raramente são vistas em filme, e que têm a capacidade de nos deixar boquiabertos.

Taj Burrow, Nathan Webster, Yadin Nicol, Dion Agius e mais algumas participações de outros surfistas preenchem muito bem um espaço musical muito rico e muito bem escolhido.

Destaque para alguns aéreos de Taj Burrow e companhia que vão deixar os surfistas mais clássicos embasbacados.
