É isso ai, hoje o site Surf Movies comemora 1 ano de vida.

Lembro-me quando tava criando o blog e travei na hora de escolher o nome, pois depois de escolhido não teria mais volta. Acabei escolhendo um nome legal, por sorte.
Devo admitir que no começo do blog não tinha muita expectativa com o crescimento dele, criei-o apenas por hobby, tato é que com 50 visitas diarias eu já ficava emocionado!! Acabei me entusiasmado e comecei a me dedicar mais, atualizando e editando constantemente. Por isso, o blog é o que é hoje! Cresceu muito, e ultapassou minhas expectaticas. Hoje, com uma média de 3 mil visitas diarias, 85,620 mil (Setembro/Outubro) mensais e acesso do mundo inteiro o Surf Movies virou passagem obrigatória para muitos surfistas. E é isso que me incentiva a atualizar e investir no blog!

Eu posto o conteúdo, mas quem faz crescer são vocês que comentam, participam, ajudam o blog. Claro, eu devo isso tudo a vocês.

That's it, today the site Surf Movies celebrates 1 year of life.

I remember when I was creating the blog and i stop to choose the name because after you have chosen not to return. I ended up choosing a cool name, by luck. I must admit that at the beginning of the blog did not have much expectation with the growth of it, I created it just for hobby, touch is that with 50 requests every day I was already excited! I just grabbed me and started to spend more time, constantly updating and editing. Therefore, the blog is what it is today! Grew a lot, and ultra passed my expectations. Today, with an average of 3 thousand hits per day, 85,620 thousand (September/October) per monthly and access of all over the world, Surf Movies became obligatory passage for many surfers. And that is what encourages me to update and invest more and more!

I post the content, but who grows it is you who comment, participate, help the blog. Of course, I owe it all to you.

On October 3, 2008, Iration officially released their latest collection of recordings on their SAMPLE THIS EP – Sample This, is a four song EP featuring two songs, “I’m With You” and “Electricity,” which were co-written with a fellow local Hawaiian musician, songwriter, and Grammy winning producer Charles Brotman of Hawaiian recoding company Palm Records. The EP also features their new smash hit “Falling,” which has already been added to several radio stations in Hawaii and Guam – as well as rising favorite, “Wait and See.” These few tracks have a newly focused emphasis on capturing a popular sound along with their norm rock-reggae feeling. The Sample This EP debuted at 3 on iTunes top reggae albums, “Falling” was the 22 top reggae song on iTunes as of October 7, 2008 and 28 as of Dec 1, 2008.

Every so often, a movie, a book, a song or piece of writing comes along that touches you profoundly, in ways you couldnt begin to expect. Believe, a self-funded movie, produced by Mick Waters of Little House Productions in Billinudgel, New South Wales, is one of those movies. This production is a deeply personal journey into not so much surfing, but rather the love of surfing and many of its offshoots and parallel interests. But, dont let the self-funded fool you into thinking this is a cut-rate production by any means. However Spartan the budget may have been - around $25, 000 and many unpaid hours over the five years taken to bring this to light - the final package is completely professional, and the quality and feel of the visuals is fantastic. By fantastic, dont expect glitzy though. This is raw and real, like a one-mic acoustic recording of a guy and his guitar pouring his soul out onto tape. The older, grainier clips work incredibly well juxtaposed with the modern footage, to give the entire production a strong sense of history, and in a way, pride in the heritage thats being passed down through the generations. The retro material includes archival footage of Duke Kahanamoku, courtesy of Joe Larkin and scenes from Morning of the Earth and Storm Riders.
